So I worked on the sedan the other day (saturday). Ran around for a couple things, I got tires for the centerlines in the rear, tires for the Enkei mesh for the fronts. The guy at Rich's Tires was being a little pain in the ass, but after moaning and growning and having someone else mount the tires that I chose things were just fine. I tried going to Tap plastics for a window replacement, but they wanted $75 and they guy was pissing me off, so i decided I didnt want it anymore, at least from that guy.
After runnin around I picked up Mimi and headed back to the house. Took the old wheels off, lowered the rear coilovers a bit, rolled the fenders, and fitted all 4 wheels on the car. the rears seem to fit nicely, the fronts need smaller tires or camber plates, or both.... probably both. but for now they will just have to rub a lot.
The car starts and runs, revs semi ok. the RPMs can be brought all the way up now with the timing and new distributor on there. has some hesitating but probably need to get a new carb on there. So I started it up and let it run for a while, warmed it up, played with carb a little bit, but nothing seemed to help. oh well. after puting the car on back on the ground and putting tools away. Me and mimi jumped in and took it for its first drive up and down the street. pretty exciting, since I picked the car up almost a year ago.
Still need to do a lot of sanding, bodywork, and a little paint... not really excited about it, but its should be done so that the car wont look too retarted going down the road. At least one solid color would make it presentable.
as for the wagon. I plan to pull the tranny back off and fit the starter on to see where it is hitting and by how much and what not. sounds not fun, but I wanna do it so I can have another car to drive. plus the wagon is kinda fun to drive once in a while. Needs a new fuel pump as well.... I feel like my wagon has been under a car cover for most of its life with me.
Maybe ill start postin up some progression pictures as I go along. Usually I don't post my cars/projects, but no one really goes on my blog anyways lol. It might be kinda cool to see how it evolves as things are being done.
Here's Mimi takin off the lug nuts ^^ Thanx Love!
